Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. The music she grew up with was classic and old boleros, along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. When she was 16 years old, she began to sing and study the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to provide her with more intense vocal instruction. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a student, and when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. When she moved to the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local organizations in both teaching as well as a performer due to her passion for art and music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor of The Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her passion and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion particularly among the younger generation to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
